The Office of Diversity and Inclusion is pleased to invite you to participate in Clark’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration on January, 22nd, 2020. The theme this year is Lessons from MLK: Seeking Solidarity in Times of Educational Inequity. The day will consist of two community-wide programs to commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. King.

The first event will be a community luncheon featuring a panel of Clark faculty, staff, students, and community members discussing the persisting challenges and opportunities surrounding educational inequity in K-12 public school and university settings. The second will be a film screening of I Am Not Your Negro, the Oscar-nominated documentary based on James Baldwin’s unfinished manuscript, Remember This House. A post film discussion will follow.
