The Central Mass Pastel Society presents its innaugural National Juried Exhibition "Marks of Distinction" from June 25th through July 15th. The show will be housed in the Worcester Museum's Popup Gallery space, amid the thriving creative center of downtown Worcester, MA. "Marks of Distinction" will feature award-winning, critically acclaimed pastel artists from across the country - with plenty of local, high-caliber talent as well. Showcasing new pastel work across a broad range of styles, including portraits, landscape, still life and abstract, the guiding force of the show will be the expert handling of this recently rediscovered medium.
"Seeing all the bold styles and colorful images is always such a treat in a national juried show," said Central Mass Pastel Society show co-chair Maryann Mullett. "Being part of this innaugural event with CMPS is really exciting for everyone involved."
There will be an reception and award ceremony on Saturday, June 27th to highlight the best pieces in the show and give out awards. The reception is free and open to the public at The Worcester PopUp, 20 Franklin St, 1st floor, Worcester, MA.
