Studio Theatre Worcester, and Director John Wayland Somers are excited to bring audiences this Pulitzer Prize winning play that is set against the backdrop of a 1960s America in the midst of political and social change. When a progressive young priest’s conduct comes under question by the schools very traditional principal, Sister Aloysius Beauvier, the actions and motivations of each are scrutinized and suspicion mounts. The two are drawn into a battle of wills that threatens irrevocable consequences for all involved.

Please note this play addresses several hard-hitting topics including, race, sexual abuse/molestation, and the battle between progressive and conservative Catholicism. The production will be uniquely staged in the Sanctuary at Greendale People's Church, putting the audience directly in the action. Post-show talkbacks will be available on 3/13, 3/15 & 3/21 with the cast/crew and Reverend Dr. Kevin Downer.

Starring:

Father Flynn – Todd Vickstrom

Sister Aloysius Beauvier – Alexa Hope
