Whether you find birds in your backyard, the woods, or a local park, they're fun to watch (and even more fun to identify). Learn the basics of bird identification, including physical and behavioral characteristics to watch for, and how to use habitat, songs, and calls as field aids. After the classroom session, we'll go outside in search of birds so you can practice your newfound skills. Bring binoculars and a field guide, if you have them, or borrow some of ours. Dress for the weather with waterproof shoes, and bring a lunch and drink.
